  • BRAINSTORMING defined; “Process for generating creative ideas and solutions through intensive and freewheeling group discussion. Every participant is encouraged to think aloud and suggest as many ideas as possible, no matter seemingly how outlandish or bizarre. Analysis, discussion, or criticism of the aired ideas is allowed only when the brainstorming session is over and evaluation session begins.”  Business dictionary

This time tested strategy to broaden your options works with family, friends, and even yourself. Give it a try and see what emerges.

A comment on a recent article, Personal Finance Tips for New College Grads, by MD at Studenomics inspired this post with the comment, “Find cheap ways to party! Once you finish college you just feel like getting out and having a good time. Don’t let this ruin your financial future.”

Fun and entertainment are really important. In fact, take a break from the thinking and toiling of work; refresh the mind and increase productivity.

When trying to save money, stick to low cost recreation and entertainment.

    BRAINSTORMING

You’re not getting away without a “wealth in life” lesson….. For any goal in life, there are always more approaches than meet the eye. Apply brainstorming to entertainment and recreation for more life satisfaction.

This is a collaborative article, so pitch in and let’s have some fun.

In brainstorming, the idea can be as crazy as you want. The idea is to get a really big list, then choose the items that work for you. Consider printing this article out and hanging it on the refrigerator, along with your comments. That way, when the opportunity for recreation is at hand, there are lots of ideas ready to go.

    Here’s how it works:

    1. I’ll  write my LOW COST ENTERTAINMENT AND RECREATION ideas.
    2. You write your  fun suggestions in the comments section.
    3. Invite your friends to stop by and participate as well.
    4. Subscribe to the comments feed and return with new ideas.
